Prepare Espresso
Brew 1 ounce of fresh espresso and allow it to cool slightly. Hot espresso can dilute the cocktail if added directly to ice. Alternatively, use cold brew concentrate for convenience.
Combine Ingredients
Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake Vigorously
Shake for 15–20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well-chilled. Shaking well is key for a foamy top.
Strain into Glass
Using a strainer, pour the cocktail into a chilled martini or coupe glass. The strainer helps achieve a smooth, frothy surface.
Garnish and Serve
Float 2–3 coffee beans on top for presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy the rich, creamy coffee flavor.
